This is a beautiful song my son wrote and recorded last week. If you like poetry, the lyrics are really, really nice and contain some wonderful images. Reads like Robert Frost! Enjoy!
To the blue jay in the tree
You are a king, you are a king
On his throne he sits all eve
Just like a king, he is a king.
From his palace evergreen
He eats berries as a king
Watches o'er his wint'ry domain
Just like a king, he is a king.
He sees the snow falling on his town
And hears it lay on the cold earth ground
He sees the bum smoking in the park
And the doctor driving in his car
He sees us sitting down to eat
When I turn the lights off before I sleep
He sees us walk your hand in mine
He's the king of this winter time
